Hey there, I'm looking to sell my Krank Rev head for $1,600 OBO! IM WILLING TO NEGOTIATE PRICE, FEEL FREE TO ASK! I bought this amp brand new for over $2000. Literally the only thing wrong with this amp is a tiny knick in the tolex. This amp has great versatility! I'm just looking for a different tone.
I've been on the Orbit Electronix/Revolution Amps/Stiff Amps/Krank Amps websites, but he hasn't been able to provide me an owners manual for the Nineteen80 & Nineteen80 Jr.amp heads. The previous owner gave.pdf file for the Krank Rev.1, Krankenstein, & Chadwick amps though.
Here are some specs: Upgraded transformers 6550 power tubes 120W 'Krank' and 'Kleen' channels each feature 3-band EQ Active effects loop Ohm and voltage selectors Manual channel switch Metal grill Comes with a free Krank Channel/Master selecting pedal. I also have the matching cab for sale, $700 OBO WILLING TO SELL HEAD + CAB TOGETHER FOR $2100!!!!
Product Rating its cheaply constructed, I mean look at the power and standby switches, plastic!!!???? On an amp that cost so much you would expect top quality parts it definately Kranks, but not in the price range tey have put it Your general opinion of this product. If you want this amp because of tone, get a Dual Rectofier for this price, heck even the JSX from Peavey sounds as good as this for less Basic nobs no rocket sience nice bottom end like every other amp that cost under $600 not $1,600 if you are buying this because of the HYPE?? I would think twice of shelling out 1,600 on a high-end amp built with low end parts. Your general opinion of this product. QUALITY: This amp is extremely well put together. FEATURES: The clean on this amp will not break up.
The distortion is massive and clear. This amp is crazy loud. With the Master Volume on 3 it is like the Peavey triple XXX on 10. EASE OF USE: It is a piece of cake to operate.
The sweep and presence knobs can help you get just about any kind of distortion. VALUE: I bought it and it is definetly not cheap. I run it through a Peavey Triple XXX Straight cab using monster cable on everything. I use a Schecter Baritone and a ESP H Deluxe 1000 both with Seymor Duncan's. SOUND: Unbelievable. My banmates cannot believe how good this amp sounds. I play metal and classic metal and it is just perfect.
It might be more than a Peavey 6505, Marsahll JCM 2000, or Peavey Triple XXX, but it is worth it. I like the sound better than the dual Rectifier because it is so much more clear distortion. Your general opinion of this product. QUALITY: This product is great and looks bad a##. Built well and relayable no pro in 7 months of running 8 hours days plus shows every week.
FEATURES: for an amp it has the basid features turn up and turn down. I only wish it had an effect loop switch for on and off and level to turn up or down the loop. EASE OF USE: if you dont no what a guitar let alone an amp you still can operate it. VALUE: honostly its the only amp ill stick with. Ive oned a marshall peavey mesa and crate amps they all are good in there on way but krank is the tone im looking for. SOUND: one of the best tones i have ever heard before. The distoration is very crunchy and not muddy at all but you can add an od pedal to get a muddyier distoration.
On the clean its brite and clean even at a loud volume. I run direct into it with my akg wireless than effectloop a pod xt live and a bbe sonic maximizer 882i with the krankinstine 4/12 ca. Your general opinion of this product. QUALITY: Light Amp surprisingly!!! Felt pretty sturdy FEATURES: Best Feature would be the knobs!!!
Lest impressive would be the overall look, if you buy the black. You can only change from krank to kleen by footswitch, there's no manual switch on the amp. EASE OF USE: Very easy to use because there is not alot to this amp!!!
The sweep knob is real sensitive and shapes the sound!! No manual with the amp just some crappy letter from krank with some preset settings, weird!!!
VALUE: Not worth $1599 at all!!! Maybe $800 or $1000. SOUND: Not a high gain amp at all!!! Don't be fooled, I was not impressed at all. It has a very bright crunchy sound to it even with low presence and low treble. Very weak sound!!!
Sorry to say!! My style is METAL and I like a very high gain sound but with clairity at the same time. There is no way that this amp will make you sound like Shadow's Fall, or Dime, or any of these band. Copyright © 1996-2018 American Musical Supply, Inc. All rights reserved.
